How to Join
The minimum age to join our Troop is 11 years old or having completed the 5th grade. If you are coming from a Cub Scout Pack you can join the Troop when 10 years old after completing the Arrow of Light Award.
You are welcome to visit our Troop at our next meeting to become more familiar with the program. We will also have applications for you to join there as well. Send an email to the Scoutmaster to get an invite.

Scouting's purpose is to train youth in responsible citizenship, character development and self-reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities, educational programs and at older levels, career-orientated programs in partnership with community organizations.

Troop 1005 commits to one weekend activity per month with the exception of July and August. Various day hikes are also added to the calendar. Summer camp is planned for June following the end of school. Activities are planned in advance for one calendar year so families can work their schedules around the Troop. Refer to the Events Calendar for all activities and changes.
Parents are expected to participate in at least two outings per calendar year and attend the monthly parent meetings that can be found on the Event Calendar page. Other family members are invited to activities as well. Minors that are not members of the Troop must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Adult family members must complete Youth Protection training and certification to attend Troop activities.
$75 one-time initiation fee. This includes a provided tent.
$204 annual dues
$50 annual activity surcharge (to be applied as credit towards dues the next year if parents participate in at least two campouts throughout the calendar year)
